I'm looking to buy a microwave and I was wondering if the Commercial Chef CHMH900B6C would be good for larger dishes? Any thoughts?

Hi @MOWILL94, it's great that you're considering the CHMH900B6C! Personally, I've had a positive experience with this model. The capacity is 0.9 cubic feet which should handle most of your cooking needs, but if you often cook larger dishes, you might want to consider a bigger microwave.

Hey @MOWILL94, I have the CHMH900B6C and it works great for me! For me, its 900 watts are perfect for most tasks. However, if you plan on cooking for a large group or need to prepare larger dishes frequently, you might want to look at models with higher wattage.

Solution

Thanks for sharing @GeminiAction12, I'll definitely give it a read! The more input I get, the better. @shemsheep and @Icejumper4, do you think the size of the turntable plays a role in how well larger dishes cook?

I've used the CHMH900B6C for cooking large dishes, and it's worked out pretty well for me. The 10-inch turntable might be limiting for some bigger dishes, but you can always rotate them manually to ensure even heating.

That's a good point @lunapopdrop. Manual rotation could work as a workaround for larger dishes. Thanks for sharing your experience!

So it seems like the CHMH900B6C might be suitable if I mostly cook medium-sized meals, but if I need to regularly prepare larger dishes, maybe I should look into other options. Thanks everyone for your insights!
