I'm looking for advice on customizing the shelving in my Hamilton Beach HBF1600 fridge. Has anyone done this before?

@IowaCaptiveNick, I haven't done it myself, but I can tell you that our article at Overview of the Hamilton Beach HBF1600 Refrigerator offers a lot of useful information about customizing shelves in various refrigerators. It might help you with your specific model too!

Solution

Thanks for sharing the link, @Laststraw2017. I checked it out and found some good tips there. I think my best option would be to buy adjustable shelves online. Do you guys have any experience with that?

@novaryu10, I've bought adjustable shelves from Amazon before and had great success. They're pretty affordable too.

Great, thanks for the suggestions! I'll check out those adjustable shelves. By the way, has anyone tried to remove the factory shelves in their Hamilton Beach HBF1600 without breaking them?

@IowaCaptiveNick, I managed to remove the factory shelves from my HBF1600 without breaking them. It was a bit tricky, but it's definitely possible.

That's good to know, @CaptainLoneStarr. Do you have any tips for us on how to do it?

Sure thing, @Laststraw2017. First, make sure the fridge is empty and unplugged. Then, carefully slide out the factory shelf, and gently lift it up from the back. It should come out without breaking.

Awesome, thanks for the advice! I'll give that a try when I get home and let you guys know how it goes.

Good luck, @IowaCaptiveNick! If you have any more questions or need help, don't hesitate to ask. We're here to assist!

Absolutely, @novaryu10. We're always happy to lend a helping hand. Have fun with your customized shelving project!

I second that! Good luck, @IowaCaptiveNick! Let us know how it turns out.

I'll update you all once the project is done. Have a great day!
