Farberware FMO12AHTBKE Mug Usage?

Started by Phoenixmaid on June 26, 2024

I'm thinking of getting a Farberware FMO12AHTBKE microwave and was curious if anyone has used it for mug cooking? I've seen some great recipes online and would love to try them out.

Hey @Phoenixmaid, I haven't personally tried the Farberware model, but I did read an article about mug cooking on a similar microwave Overview of the Farberware FMO12AHTBKE Microwave. It seems like most people have had positive experiences with mug cakes and other recipes in those microwaves. You might want to check it out!

Thanks for the info @yogomushi! The article you linked looks really helpful. I'm still debating whether to go with this Farberware model or another one with a bit more power.

Oh, I've been using my Farberware FMO12AHTBKE microwave for mug recipes for a couple of months now and it works great! The wattage is enough for most recipes and the 1.2 cubic feet capacity has been perfect for all my cooking needs.

That's good to hear, @hired-geek! I'm also interested in how you like the sensor cooking feature on this model. Is it accurate and easy to use?

The sensor cooking feature is really handy, especially when I'm not sure about the cooking time for certain dishes. It does a pretty good job of determining the right amount of time based on the food's moisture content.

That sounds useful! Thanks @hired-geek and @yogomushi for your input. I think I might go ahead and get the Farberware FMO12AHTBKE. It seems like a versatile and powerful microwave overall.
