Galanz GLCMKZ09BKR09 - Cooking Settings Recommendations?

Started by Mazakrov on June 27, 2024

I'm considering buying a new microwave and came across the Galanz GLCMKZ09BKR09. Has anyone tried it or has experience with similar models?

Yeah, I've had mine for about 6 months now. It works great! I usually reheat leftovers and sometimes make popcorn. The capacity is perfect for me. What about you?

That's good to hear! I'm mostly interested in reheating leftovers and maybe some simple cooking tasks as well.

Thanks for the link, @LionLambert! I also saw that it has 10 power levels and a defrost function. Do you find those useful?

Yeah, the defrost function is really handy when I need to thaw something quickly. The power levels come in handy when I want more precise control over my cooking.

I've been using a similar model for about a year now, and I love it. One thing I'd recommend is experimenting with the different cooking modes. I found some dishes turned out better when I used specific settings instead of just relying on the auto-cook feature.

Good to know! I might give those cooking modes a try then. How about sensor cooking? Is that useful for you, @HabaneroSauce?

To be honest, I haven't really used the sensor cooking much. It's there if I need it, but I'm usually comfortable with manual settings.

I just bought this microwave last week and absolutely love it. The child safety lock is a great feature for when my kids are around. And the stainless steel finish looks really sleek on my countertop.

That's awesome, @egraider! Good to hear from someone who just got one. Thanks for sharing your experience with the child safety lock - that's something I didn't even think about before.

Yeah, it's definitely a nice addition. Anyway, if you're still unsure, I'd recommend trying it out in-store if there's a display model available. It's pretty compact and wouldn't take up too much space on your countertop.

Great advice, @HabaneroSauce! Thanks for all the input, everyone. I think I might go check one out in person now.
