Panasonic NN-SD775S: Healthier Food?

Started by MikeyAGoGo on June 24, 2024

I've been looking into getting a new microwave and came across the Panasonic NN-SD775S. Has anyone tried it? I'm particularly interested in whether it promotes healthier food options.

@bcsilver has mentioned an important aspect of this model – it doesn't have a convection function, which could help in cooking healthier food. There is a TechReviewer article that discusses the Panasonic NN-SD775S in detail, you can check it out here: Overview of the Panasonic NN-SD775S Microwave.

Hi @MikeyAGoGo, I've used one for a while now, and I can say that it doesn't explicitly promote healthier food options. It has sensor cooking, defrost function, cooking modes, child safety lock, but no venting.

That's interesting! I was hoping to avoid using the microwave as much as possible due to health concerns. Maybe I'll look for a convection microwave next time.

Thanks for sharing the link, @Statolith! I'll definitely take a look at it. The convection function sounds like it could be beneficial for cooking healthier meals.

I agree with you, @kemonymous, that convection microwaves might provide some additional health benefits compared to traditional microwaves. They can help retain more nutrients in the food and promote even cooking.

I've been using a convection microwave for a few months now, and I must say, it has made a difference in the quality of my meals. It's definitely worth considering if you're concerned about health.

Great to know! Thanks everyone for your input. I'll read up more on convection microwaves and see if they might be a good fit for me.

No problem, @MikeyAGoGo. Let us know what you decide!

Will do! Thanks again!
