RCA RMW1178-B Power Source Replacement?

Started by koolkoolnotlame on June 27, 2024

I recently bought a new microwave and have been using it for some time now. Just wondering if anyone here has experience with replacing the power source on an RCA RMW1178-B?

I've never replaced a power source in my life, but I found this TechReviewer article Overview of the RCA RMW1178-B Microwave that might help you. It explains how to replace it step-by-step.

Thanks for sharing that link, @no-love-lost. It's really helpful and informative! I guess I'll give it a try.

I've never had to do that myself either, but if I remember correctly, the RCA RMW1178-B uses a specific type of power source. You might want to check whether you have the correct one before attempting any replacements.

I replaced the power source in my RCA RMW1178-B about two months ago and it's been working perfectly ever since. The process was pretty straightforward, but it definitely took some time. I'd recommend following @no-love-lost's link for detailed instructions.

Thanks a lot to everyone who responded! I think I'll go ahead and try it out this weekend. Fingers crossed it goes smoothly!
