I've been looking at this Sharp R-21LCFS microwave and was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on it. I know it's a countertop model, but does anyone have any experience with that?

I've had the Sharp R-21LCFS for a few months now, and I can say that Overview of the Sharp R-21LCFS Microwave gives a pretty comprehensive review of its features and performance. It might help you guys make an informed decision.

Hi @DannyTusso, I have one! It's working great for me so far. The 1000-watt power is really useful, and the stainless steel finish looks nice too. You can check out more details in this article Overview of the Sharp R-21LCFS Microwave.

Thanks @RenegadeBeaver! I've been trying to decide between a few models, but the Sharp R-21LCFS seems like a good option based on your feedback. How's the capacity? It's perfect for me if it can handle most of my cooking needs.

The 1.0 cubic ft. capacity is pretty decent for singles or small families, @StructurallySound. I've been able to reheat leftovers and even cook simple meals with no problems so far.

I'm considering this model too but was curious about the lack of convection cooking and sensor cooking features. Has anyone found these missing features to be a significant drawback?

That's a good point, @lillydo0808. The absence of those features does make me wonder if it'll be suitable for more complex cooking tasks. Any thoughts from others?

I personally haven't missed having convection or sensor cooking features, but that could depend on your specific needs. For my part, the Sharp R-21LCFS has been perfect for simple reheating and basic cooking.

Thanks for sharing that link, @ejacublake. The article seems to confirm what everyone else has said - it's great for simple tasks but may not be the best choice if you need more advanced cooking features. I'll probably go ahead and give it a try.
