I'm considering buying a new microwave and came across the Sharp R-CD2200M. Can anyone tell me about its power consumption? I've seen it mentioned in this forum before, but can't find any specific details.

Yes, @yakadian, that's the one! And I just read this great article on TechReviewer about it. It gives an in-depth analysis of the R-CD2200M, including its wattage and other features. You can check it out here: Overview of the Sharp R-CD2200M Microwave. It might help you make your decision.

Hey @yakadian, I think you're referring to the Sharp R-CD2200M commercial microwave oven. The power consumption of that model is 2200 watts. It's quite efficient for a microwave in its class and should be able to handle most cooking tasks with ease.

That's really useful, @yeskaydee! Thanks for sharing the link to the article. The 2200 watts capacity seems like it should be more than enough for my needs. I'm just not sure about the weight of the microwave. Do you know how heavy it is?

The Sharp R-CD2200M weighs 70 lbs, @yakadian. It's definitely a bit hefty, so make sure you have a sturdy countertop or shelf to place it on if that's where you plan to put it.

I've had the Sharp R-CD2200M for about six months now and couldn't be happier with it. The power consumption is definitely on point, and I've found that it heats food evenly and quickly. The weight doesn't bother me at all since it's placed on a sturdy cart in my kitchen.

Thanks for the input, @apesfromspace13. That's good to hear! I was worried about the weight, but if you're happy with it, that puts my mind at ease.

Another thing to consider is that even though it's heavy, the R-CD2200M has a stainless steel finish which should be durable and long-lasting. Plus, it won't show fingerprints as easily as some other materials.

True, @yeskaydee, stainless steel is quite robust. I've had mine for years and it still looks brand new.

Agreed! It's definitely worth the investment if you're looking for a high-quality microwave that will last.

Thanks for all your help, everyone. Based on your experiences and the TechReviewer article @yeskaydee mentioned, I think I might go ahead and purchase the Sharp R-CD2200M. It seems like it's got everything I need in a microwave.
