I've been using the SMD2470AH for a few months now, and it's been great! The sensor cooking is really helpful when defrosting or heating up meals. The child safety lock also comes in handy since we have young kids at home.
Hey everyone, there's an excellent TechReviewer article discussing the SMD2470AH in-depth Overview of the Sharp SMD2470AH Microwave. It covers everything from wattage to dimensions and even provides some comparisons with other models. You might find it helpful for your decision-making process.
Thanks, @stephenseifert! That link looks really informative. The wattage of this microwave seems quite good at 950 watts, which should help with faster cooking times. I'm also interested in the sensor cooking feature - that could save me a lot of time and effort.
I've been using the SMD2470AH for about six months now, and it's been working great for me! The drawer design is really convenient, and I love not having to bend over to reach the microwave anymore. As for the wattage, I can definitely say that cooking times are faster than with my old countertop microwave.
I'm still on the fence about whether the SMD2470AH would be a good fit in my kitchen. The dimensions seem a bit large for my space. Has anyone had any issues with fitting this microwave into their cabinets or countertops?
@shmoopsie, our microwave was also a little bulky, but we managed to make it work by rearranging some things and getting rid of some other appliances that we weren't using. It's definitely worth considering based on the functionality!
In terms of dimensions, you might want to check out the TechReviewer article Overview of the Sharp SMD2470AH Microwave for more information about how this microwave integrates with cabinetry. They also discuss some alternative models if you're concerned about space.
Thanks everyone for your input! Based on your experiences and the TechReviewer article, I think the SMD2470AH could be a good choice for me. I'll keep an eye out for any deals or promotions to make it more affordable.
