Uneven Heating in Commercial Chef CHM14110B6C?

Started by nikesale on June 27, 2024

I'm having trouble with my Commercial Chef CHM14110B6C microwave. Sometimes the food isn't heating evenly. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

Here's an article that might help explain why this happens: Overview of the Commercial Chef CHM14110B6C Microwave. Basically, microwaves heat food from all sides at once, so if your dish isn't uniform, some parts will cook faster than others. The turntable is designed to help mitigate this issue by rotating the food while cooking.

Yeah, I had a similar problem with mine at first. The uneven heating could be due to how you're placing your dishes. Make sure the food is centered and spread out in the microwave. If it's too close to the walls or not evenly distributed, it can cause issues.

Solution

Thanks for the advice! I'll try putting my food in a more central position and see if that helps. I might also check out that article you mentioned, @lexcimus.

Another thing to consider is the microwave's wattage. If your CHM14110B6C isn't powerful enough for what you're trying to cook, that could cause uneven heating too.

Good point! Mine has 1100 watts and it works fine now that I've learned how to place my dishes correctly. It might be worth checking the wattage of your microwave if you're still having issues, @nikesale.

Definitely, @nikesale. If you're still experiencing problems after trying these suggestions, you might want to reach out to Commercial Chef's customer support for further assistance.

I'll give it a shot and see if any of these solutions work. Fingers crossed!
