Using Own Containers in Toshiba ML-EM34P(SS)?

Started by Drakoniak on June 24, 2024

I just got a new Toshiba ML-EM34P(SS) and was wondering if it's okay to use my own containers inside? Like those glass ones I have?

Great news! Thanks for the info @EverythingIsFine3. I found a really useful article about this on TechReviewer - Overview of the Toshiba ML-EM34P(SS) Microwave.

Hi @Drakoniak, yes you can definitely use your own containers in the Toshiba ML-EM34P(SS). Just make sure they fit within the turntable diameter, which is 12.4 inches.

That's awesome, thanks @lunapopdrop! I didn't realize how important the turntable diameter was in determining what dishes to use.

I've had my Toshiba ML-EM34P(SS) for a few months now and it's been fantastic. I use glass containers all the time without any issues.

That's good to hear @KadenReed. It's always nice to know that others have had positive experiences with their microwaves.

Yeah, thanks for sharing your experience @KadenReed. It really helps put my mind at ease. Now I can start experimenting with different containers!

Just a little heads up though, @Drakoniak, be mindful of the microwave's wattage when using certain types of containers. Glass ones might get hot and break if you're not careful.

Very true @cherrryblssm. Wattage does play a role in how your food cooks, so it's always best to make sure your container is safe for use in the microwave.

Thanks everyone for the advice! I'll definitely keep that in mind. Looking forward to cooking up some tasty meals in my new Toshiba ML-EM34P(SS).

You're welcome @Drakoniak. If you have any more questions or concerns, don't hesitate to ask. Have fun with your microwave!
